Why buy goat's milk soap?

We all know that you can buy a cheap bar of soap at the supermarket, you may therefore ask yourself what difference is there between that and handmade goat's milk soap?

Well, the answer is that mass produced bars contain synthetic additives which act as a detergent. This will damage your skin's protective layer and remove protein causing dryness and irritation.

Our girls milk contains alpha hydroxy acids such as lactic acid. These help remove dead cells from the skin's surface leaving new cells and smoother skin. It also contains many vitamins and is high in vitamin A. This helps repair damaged skin tissue and maintains healthy skin. What's more, goat's milk has a high fat content with smaller fat molecules. This helps it to be easily absorbed and moisturise the skin.

Goats milk soap is known for its soothing qualities. It is particularly good for sensitive and dry skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. All bars a minimum weight of 85g.

The Beautiful Golden Guernsey Goat

I'm Myrtle, Chief Spokes-goat for The Dirty Old Goat Soap Company!

My friends and I are a herd of rare breed Golden Guernsey Goats originating from the Channel Islands.

Our breed nearly became extinct during the Second World War when the Islands were occupied by the German Army and food was short. Fortunately a small herd was saved and we are now a thriving, popular breed thanks to our affable personalities and stunning good looks.

Our care provider and general dogsbody, Tracy, also originates from the neighbouring (and slightly inferior) Island of Jersey. Her herd also nearly became extinct during the war when a German motorcyclist accidentally ran over a small boy. Thinking the youngster was dead he threw him over a sea wall (True story!). Fortunately the lad survived and went on to sire his own kid, Tracy. We therefore feel an affinity to her despite her lowly status in our herd.

"I've suffered from eczema on my hands for many years. Since using Dirty Old Goat Soap I no longer have dry, cracked, flaky hands. Thank you so much!"
